da pinnacle: Wolves summer signing Pedro Neto made his debut on Thursday evening as manager Nuno Santo handed him a start in the Europa League.
The West Midlands club repeated the first leg scoreline of 4-0 to demolish Armenian outfit Pyunik 8-0 on aggregate, setting up a tie with Serie A side Torino to decide who makes the Europa League group stages.
Nuno made a number of changes as he rotated his side ahead of their Premier League fixture with Manchester United on Monday.
Neto starting was one of those to come in and it paid off when the 19-year-old opened the scoring in the second half with a tidy close-range strike.
The Portuguese winger then provided an assist for Morgan Gibbs-White to claim his first goal for the club before fellow countrymen Ruben Vinagre and Diogo Jota completed the thumping.
Lots of Wolves fans highlighted Neto’s performance on social media as the standout in the game.
One supporter said he reminded him of Jota, claiming the rising starlet has huge potential whilst a further fan added that Neto might be the best player to ever play in a Wolves shirt.
Another individual called him an amazing acquisition with other fans using a range of superlatives to describe him including baller.
