da cassino online: According to El Gol Digital, Arsenal want to bring Atletico Madrid centre-back Jose Gimenez to the Emirates Stadium at the end of the season.
What’s the story?
da bet nacional: Arsenal are expected to bring at least one new central defender to the club this summer, and the Gunners had been linked with Stefan de Vrij, who will leave Lazio at the end of the season.
However, according to El Gol Digital, head coach Arsene Wenger has switched his attention to Atletico’s Gimenez as the Frenchman looks to improve a shaky back-line.
Wenger’s future at the club has again been called into question following Sunday’s 3-0 defeat to Manchester City in the EFL Cup final, but it is understood that the Arsenal boss is preparing for the 2018-19 campaign.
Gimenez has previously been linked with a move to Manchester United, with Jose Mourinho an admirer, but it appears that the current interest from England is being headed up by Arsenal.
Would Gimenez be a good signing?
Gimenez has played more than 100 times for Atletico since moving to the Spanish giants from Uruguayan club Danubio in the summer of 2013.

The 23-year-old struggled for football in the early stages of this season due to the form of Stefan Savic alongside Diego Godin, but the Uruguay international has worked his way back into favour in recent weeks.
Indeed, the centre-back has made 26 appearances in all competitions this term for an Atletico side that are chasing Barcelona at the top of La Liga.
A no-nonense centre-back, Gimenez is exactly what Arsenal need to improve their defence. Topping 6ft, there is no question that he has the physique to operate in the Premier League.
Gimenez has a £57.3m release clause in his current contract, and it may well be that Arsenal have to pay that figure in order to open talks with the defender this summer.
It is a lot of money, but Arsenal desperately need a rough and ready defender, and Gimenez would be a fine addition to the Gunners.
