da dobrowin: Per The Guardian, West Ham manager David Moyes has confirmed his interest in signing Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere in January – claiming the coming transfer window could well be the difference between survival and relegation for the east Londoners.
da heads bet: At this point, we all know the pros and cons that come with Wilshere. The England international is unquestionably a talented player, who could be available on the cheap in January with his Gunners contract winding down and Transfermarkt valuing him at just £13.5million.
However, fitness remains a constant problem for the often-crocked 25-year-old, who hasn’t made more than 30 appearances in a single Premier League season since the 2010/11 campaign.
But considering the importance Moyes is placing on the January window, that makes a deal for Wilshere a huge risk – especially if it stops the Hammers signing an alternative central midfielder instead.
So, West Ham fans, should Moyes move to sign Wilshere in the new year or would a swoop derail the Scot’s revolution in east London? Let us know by voting below…
