And against Newcastle, he was in top form. As per Sofascore, he had a game-high 114 touches and 97 passes, made two tackles, and won four total duels.

One supporter meanwhile even suggested he deserves to be the captain of the club once again.
So Arteta now has two defining victories as Arsenal manager. The one against Manchester United on New Year’s Day, and the 4-0 thrashing of Newcastle on Sunday – both games saw Xhaka play the full 90 minutes.
The Swiss ace is reviving his career under Arteta, and it is now much harder to see him leave the club anytime soon.
